Synopisis of camera classes:

The "Advanced Class" - $69.99

For purposes of this class "advanced" refers to the camera not the photographer, who can be a total beginner. The camera is a digital SLR of any manufacturer. The objective of the class is to allow students to become familiar with every function of their camera so that they will be able to stop using it as a very expensive point and shoot camera. The class, limited to three students, consists of two, one and one-half to two hour sessions, with homework exercises between sessions. The first class involves detailed instruction on the camera and its use, as well as downloading images to the computer and the use of a free computer program for image organization and correction The second session involves detailed computer examination of each student's homework by means of the free computer program which was downloaded as part of the homework. In the course of this examination there will be opportunities to ask questions and to receive professional instruction and critique. Advanced topics such as shooting in RAW format will also be covered

The beginner class is for owners of 'point and shoot" (non interchangeable lens) cameras only. The class, limited to three students, consists of two, one and one-half to two hour sessions, with homework exercises between sessions. In the first session, every camera function will be explained in detail with the ability to ask questions at any time. Instruction will be given in downloading the images to a computer and in downloading the free program for organizing and manipulating your photos, which is a part of the homework. The second session involves detailed computer examination of each student's homework by means of the free computer program which was downloaded as part of the homework. In the course of this examination there will be opportunities to ask questions and to receive professional instruction and critique.
